SAN FRANCISCO, July 8, 2026 (CALIFORNIA NEWS TODAY) – Fieldwork Brewing Company has signed a lease with the Presidio Trust to open a new taproom and restaurant at 563 Ruger Street in the Presidio, expanding the brewery's footprint with its third San Francisco location.
The new location will occupy a historic commercial property near the Lombard Gate and Letterman campus. According to the Presidio Trust, the site includes approximately 5,370 square feet of indoor space, 1,780 square feet of outdoor deck space and on-site parking.
The taproom is expected to open in early 2027 and will offer Fieldwork's craft beer lineup, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, a full-service food menu and a specialty brunch program.
"We're thrilled to welcome Fieldwork Brewing to the Presidio as the park's first taproom. Fieldwork is a natural complement to the Presidio's growing roster of food and beverage destinations, and their reputation for quality and hospitality makes them an ideal partner," said Daryl Ansel, Interim Director of Commercial Asset Management, Presidio Trust.
"Fieldwork at the Presidio will be a touchstone for our company for years to come. We look for locations that create a true destination experience for our guests, and the Presidio offers just that, an extraordinary setting where people come together to connect," said Barry Braden, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Fieldwork Brewing Company.
Fieldwork Brewing Company is a California craft brewery founded in Berkeley in 2014 that operates taprooms across Northern California. The Presidio Trust is the federal agency responsible for managing the Presidio, a national park site within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
