The expansion aims to support increased residential heat pump adoption as California works toward its goal of installing six million heat pumps by 2030. Jetson cited high upfront costs, installation complexity, and limited contractor availability as barriers to adoption.

Jetson sells its all-electric heat pump system, Jetson Air, directly to homeowners. The company states that its vertically integrated model reduces overall project costs by 30–50% compared with traditional contractor pricing. Installations are handled by in-house crews, and the company manages system design, permitting, rebate coordination, and ongoing service.

“California is one of the most important electrification markets in North America because homeowners are actively looking for alternatives to aging gas systems. We’re seeing strong demand from homeowners who want to upgrade their home without the cost, hassle and uncertainty of legacy contractors. As we grow, our focus remains on making the switch to electric heating and cooling practical and affordable for more households,” said Stephen Lake, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Jetson.

Jetson plans to establish local operational hubs in each region with the intention of creating hundreds of jobs statewide, including licensed HVAC technicians, electricians, warehouse staff, and management positions.

Utility and municipal rebate programs across California may reduce upfront costs for homeowners. Incentives are available through entities including SMUD, Roseville Electric, Burbank Water and Power, San Jose Clean Energy, Silicon Valley Clean Energy, and Riverside Public Utilities.

Jetson has upgraded more than 1,000 homes across North America and recently secured more than $60 million in funding to support continued expansion.
